»...Skivbolaget beskriver CPU som en kombination av Electronic Body Music och dub, eller som ett möte mellan Skinny Puppy och Lee Perry. Det är både en trevlig mental bild och ett helt korrekt utlåtande, men det berättar inte hela historien. Härifrån är det nämligen inte långt till gammal fin svensk 80-talselektronik heller (välj valfri Börft- eller Cold Meat Industry-figur) och det är inte alls orelaterat till pop och Giorgio Moroder, märklig ambient eller nutida elektroniktrolleri heller. Det går att hitta en mängd andra referenser också, men det håller ändå ihop som ett jäkla CPU-skruvförband.
